How to switch connection between USB and Thunderbolt

The best way to switch your interfacing option is.


1. Disconnect the USB cable from the interface.

2. Disconnect the power cable from the interface.

3. Connect only the Thunderbolt cable to the interface and the computer.

4. Reconnect the power cable.

Note: Never connect both USB and Thunderbolt cables to the interface.

Antelope Devices with Both USB and Thunderbolt Connectivity:

Orion 32+, Orion 32+ Gen 3:

1. Hold the Power Button to access the System Menu.

2. Hold the Bottom Frequency button while on Comm. Interface function.

3. Scroll between USB and Thunderbolt using the frequency buttons.

4. Press the Power Button to enable communication.


Zen Tour, Zen Tour Synergy Core, Goliath, Goliath HD, Goliath HD Gen 3:


1. Press the Menu button on the touch screen.

2. Scroll to Comm. Interface and press it.

3. Choose the desired connection (USB or Thunderbolt) and press the screen again to confirm.


Discrete 4, Discrete 4 Synergy Core, Discrete 4 Pro, Discrete 8, Discrete 8 Synergy Core, Discrete 8 Pro: 


1. Press and hold the bottom function button to access the System Menu.

2. Scroll to Comm Interface and select it using the Volume knob.

3. Scroll between USB and TB using the Volume knob and press it to confirm the connection.

Note: The Discrete Pro series has additional options such as Auto mode or Preferred mode.

Orion Studio, Orion Studio 2017, Orion Studio Synergy Core:

1. Hold the top Function button to access the System Menu.

2. Navigate to Comm. Interface using the Volume knob and select it.

3. Scroll between USB and TB using the Volume knob and press it to confirm the connection.



Zen Studio+:

1. Hold down the Power Button to access the System Menu.

2. Navigate to Comm. Interface using the Volume knob and select it.

3. Confirm the selection by holding the Volume knob.
