How may we help you?

The Antelope Manager Server plays a vital role in facilitating communication between your Antelope Hardware and various Antelope Audio Software components, including the Launcher, Device's Control Panel, and AFX2DAW. This guide aims to provide you with valuable insights and troubleshooting tips related to the Manager Server.

Understanding the Manager Server

The Manager Server functions as a server within your Local Area Network (LAN). Its primary responsibilities include establishing seamless communication between your Antelope Hardware and associated software. Additionally, it enables the usage of your device over LAN on other computers, although this functionality may have limitations in certain cases.

Addressing Potential Issues

Certain Antivirus Software, VPNs, Firewalls, or unrelated programs can interfere with the Manager Server's performance. If you notice any unusual behavior from the Manager Server, such as high data transfer, it is important to identify and resolve any potential conflicts.

The data being transferred represents the amount of data exchanged between your device and the Antelope Audio Software since your computer was turned on.

This traffic remains confined within your local network. The periodic transmission of multicast traffic (three times a second) on each interface serves the purpose of identifying available devices promptly. Although this traffic accumulates over time, it has minimal impact on your network throughput.

Troubleshooting Steps

If you encounter situations where your device is visible as an audio device but not in the Launcher, it is often attributable to issues with the Manager Server. In such cases, we recommend following these troubleshooting steps:

    Reconnect the device.

    Restart the server.

    Reboot the computer.

    Reinstall the drivers.

Consider changing the cable connected to the device.

Connect your device to another computer.

Optimizing Manager Server Performance

It's worth noting that the latest version of the Manager Server may not always guarantee optimal performance. Depending on your specific configurations and devices, certain Manager Server versions may deliver better results. We recommend experimenting with different versions to find the one that offers the most stable performance for your setup.
